This place outshines just about all seafood restaurants in Cartagena and it’s right here in Bogotá. Close your eyes and pick an appetizer, you’ll love it you can’t go wrong. Good wine all day long. BBQ Octopus galore nice ambiance friendly staff. A great business mans dinner establishment. A once a week restaurant for me. A chef with two blessed hands.
Salmon carpaccio anyone? Some of the best in the city. Great wine like Pino Grigio at 2 degrees C. Outstanding crab ravioli in white wine sauce instead of Alfredo. Tired staff but pleasant ambiance. Also great eu de vie at the end. A must return.
Sometimes one craves a local delicacy like a Budín de almojabana that’s where Uki comes in its outstanding. I hope I spelled it right otherwise I’ll never hear the end of it. Even a foreigner like me can appreciate a great Colombian delicacy. The ambiance is a bit shaky the attention is ok but as I said before the food is delicious.
Like BBQ then this is the place for you. Invited to a carnivore feast I couldn’t really refuse this offer so I tagged along and what a surprise. Good chicharrón appetizers tons of it, very tasty this of course calls for Pino Grigio by the bottle. Also great brisket and ribs delicious fresh Colombian potatoes the best ones I had in a long time. The ambiance is a bit on the messy side but you don’t mind it was an invite
Great European cuisine in Bogotá good wine great variety of delicious appetizers like one of my favorites Octopus. Scrumptious rack of delicious lamb I asked for mint jelly and the waiter rushed it to my table. Outstanding job I showed my appreciation with an extra tip. Usually I don’t have any deserts but I just couldn’t let the fried camembert untried with a great espresso and a wonderful shot of Grappa. Outstanding
Looking for a great place in Usaquen look no further La Mar has it all. Elegant surroundings nice decor excellent selection of delicious appetizers whatever you try is good. Octopus galore no matter how it’s prepared the chef has two blessed hands and a keen eye for details. The wine list is ok the drinks are delicious. Last but not least the staff pays very good attention to us the patrons. A must return
Just like there counterpart on 85th and 13 the ceviches are outstanding and the fruit juices great. It’s just a different ambiance if you can define one. I can go there blindfolded and know that I’ll get exactly what I want. That’s the beauty of chain consistency.
Avoid standing in line as no establishment is worth standing in line for, at least that’s my philosophy. Choose an other day instead. At this restaurant you’ll be enjoying pâtés that melt on your tongue. Good wine and other drinks. Chorizo meat balls and other delicious items will make your taste buds sweat. A charming ambiance awaits every patron. All in all a great place for lunches any day except Sundays if you’re somewhat like me and absolutely hate standing in line.
