Oficial
Owned by a group that also runs the black bear I was tempted to check it out. Good thing I had someone that was there before to give me a hand with the menu. The appetizers where good the main dishes where good but not great. The service was outstanding. The attention to detail great and a very friendly atmosphere. The wine list is probably on the better than average side as we were very pleased with the Pinot Noire. I would highly recommend this place for a afternoon drink.
Instinto Gastrobar
All dough a little out of the way for me this is a treasure troll for your (my) taste buds. Just try the crab empanadas and the crispy ceviche with all that delicious octopus in it. Great ambiance considering this somewhat sterile neighborhood. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Very fancy martinis. I’ll be back!!!!
Coloquial
This little place is a recently discovered jewel that serves some very innovative and delicious Colombian food. Everything from the ceviches to the quinoa stuffed calamari is really finger liking good. One can taste fresh herbs and spices all the way to the bottom of your plate. Not to mention very interesting cocktails are available for a reasonable price. Hats off to the chef and all the staff. Many returns, go check it out.
Jagerhutte
If in the neighborhood hop in for a quick burger or a grilled Bratwurst and your tastebuds will start to yodel. Excellent meats are chosen to prepare the delicious burgers. Only the best is good enough. The only thing that’s missing is a Kirschwasser. Great finger food.
Brigadeiria Bogotá Café
Indeed a fine place for delicious almond pastries after a long business morning. Liking chocolate and almonds it was only a matter of time to find it and visit. Some of the best Colombian coffee and an ample variety of fresh delicious fruit cocktails. A definite must for everyone with a sweet tooth.
Salvaje
Well situated however extremely small portions. The duck rice is tasty but it’s barely enough for one person as an appetizer, So is the eggplant. You sparsely get your moneys worth. Tree drops of wine 25.000 pesos. The robalo is delicious and so are the cuts of beef. The staff however thinks that we have all week to wait. And when confronted the head waiter has the balls to say that this is the establishments new concept. I for one don’t agree at all. Who’s got time to wait for forty minutes to get the main dish? The music is very loud but hip to the streets. I don’t know if we’ll be returning or not. What a shame this could be a future restaurant sensation. Change the staff manager.
Xocolat And More (Usaquen)
A must for every breakfast gourmet and chocolate lover well situated in Usaquen. Poached eggs over avocado and fresh spinach. What a delicious way to start the day. The sight and smell of some of the worlds finest cocoa harvested is at your fingertips makes your taste buds buzz in overdrive. Go check it out
Di Lucca (Chia)
Unlike the original Di Luca in the Zona T this place is a bad example for Bogotá’s fine dining experience. The appetizers and the food just pass the acceptable. Some of the staff is very unfriendly and outright arrogant, having clearly visible preferences for certain customers. The location is not too bad the prices are on the upside. Three drops of wine cost more than a bottle. All in all I for one won’t be seen again at this outpost of negative hospitality. I’ll be rather battling some of the worst traffic on the planet and had back to the original.
Osaki (Parque de la 93)
Conveniently located in the Park this little chain restaurant came recommended, so I had to drop in for a quick drink and lunch. Good food and cocktails I must say. Average service but comfy ambiance a great alternative to the hustle and bustle at the Park. I had the shrimp tower and a lomo. Needless to say I could recommend it to anyone. Go check it out!
Chamois
Enjoying mixed finger food plates and cocktails this is place not to be missed. I’m not sure how many times I just wondered passed this place, what a shame. Perfect for a Saturday afternoon stroll by, drop in and enjoy.
